Semiconductors into Russia · time to list

Semiconductors into Russia: new suppliers, listed late.

… months

Median time from founding to US Treasury listing, for chip suppliers set up after the invasion.

… months

The same measure for every company on the Russia sanctions programme founded after the invasion and based outside Russia and Belarus.

Firms named by US Treasury press releases for sending chips, microelectronics or electronic components to Russia. The founding date is the "Organization Established Date" in the US Treasury's own list entry; the listing date is the day the firm was added to the US Treasury (OFAC) list.

How to read this. Each line runs from the founding date to the US Treasury listing. Where the US Commerce Department's Entity List named the firm first or later, a blue diamond marks that date. The firms come from five Treasury press releases (2022 to 2024); this is a hand-checked set, not every chip supplier, so the median describes these firms only. Hover or focus a mark for its date.

Founded after the invasion

One line per firm, ordered by founding date.

  • Founded (US Treasury entry)
  • Listed by the US Treasury (OFAC)
  • Added to the Entity List (US Commerce, BIS)

No founding date in the US Treasury entry

These firms are in the same releases, but their entries give no founding date, so only the listing is shown and they are left out of the median.

      Every firm in the set

Including the firms founded before the invasion, which are left out of the median.
